Branch Christmas Special “Archive Railway Adventure” held at Irlam Heritage Centre

The Branch Christmas Special, includes a (Optional) full three course Christmas Lunch. This is a daytime event, to be held at the Irlam Station Heritage Centre, Irlam, adjacent to Irlam Rail Station, with a half hourly service between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool.

For this special seasonal event the branch will share with you a selection from their vintage film archive, covering the railways of Ireland, a full two-hour presentation with an interlude for refreshments.

If you require a Christmas Lunch, then participants will be expected to book same with the Irlam station dining team, in advance of the event, further details and menus will be available at our November meeting, for those interested, or see the society web site nearer the time.

The branch sales stand will be running a bargain book fair and other side stalls including a visit to the fully operational Heritage Centre Signal Box or take a walk in the Signal Garden or avail of the museum collections and the large exhibits, including a complete goods train.

The special event commences at Irlam Railway Heritage Centre, commencing 11 am and concluding by 3 pm, IRRS Members £3, non-members £5, (Lunch not Included).  Excellent value.
